Zhib-tshol
RUB Research Policies is the primary reference regarding research for members of the University (administrators, faculty, staff, and students) as well as affiliates and anyone involved in research with the University, or using University resources. The ZHIB TSHOL was endorsed by the 14th Research and Innovation Committee in October 2013 and approved by the 29th Academic Board which is the primary academic authority of the University responsible for academic affairs, including academic standards, research, scholarship, teaching and programmes at the University. The policies define the official policies, procedures, and structures of the University governing all aspects of research.

Research Degree Framework
Research at the University occurs within the context of numerous administrative structures serving a variety of purposes such as governance and management, setting and enforcement of standards, ensuring quality, and providing support to researchers. The Research Degree Framework aims to detail the processes of development, implementation, and monitoring of all research based postgraduate study in the University. The Framework defines the roles and responsibilities of administrators, faculty, and students with respect to the official policies, procedures, and structures of the University governing all aspects of research degrees. The Framework incorporates or refers to the Research Policy Handbook and the Wheel of Academic Law to clarify sections relevant to research degrees.

Counselling Project
Enhancing Mental Heath, Counselling and Wellbeing Support for University Students in Bhutan
This is a project supported by the European Union through Erasmus+ programme is coordinated by Paro College Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan in partnership with University of Birmingham (UK), Institute University of Da MAIA ISMAI (Portugal), and Vrije University Brussels (Belgium). The two-year project aims to:
- Establish a Happiness and Wellbeing Centre at the participating colleges of RUB.
- Establish a lead Happiness and Wellbeing Centre at Paro College of Education with an extension at Samtse College of Education.
- Train potential counselors and Centre Managers.
- Develop a digital platform and an App to support mental health, wellbeing and counselling services.
- Develop a training manual, working framework for the counselling centres and ethical code of conduct for counsellors working at the centres.
- Support the centres for successful implementation of key activities related to education, training and research.
Student Exchange
Exchange Programmes

Paro College of Education runs mobility programmes for staff and students (mostly undergraduate at the moment). Currently staff and student mobility is facilitated mostly through the Erasmus+ exchange programmes. PCE is actively engaged in exchange programmes with several Universities in Australia, Europe, and United States, such as University of New England (Australia), Palacky University in Olomouc (Czech Republic), University College Leuven Limburg (Belgium), Heidelberg University of Education (Germany), and Vrije University Amsterdam (Netherlands), Naropa University (US).
Short Term Study Visit
Paro College of Education offers Short Term Study Abroad opportunities to international students who wish to pursue a one to six-week tailor made programme organized for external students in the colleges as agreed between the sending institution and PCE. This programme is available for undergraduate or postgraduate (Masters) students. Its aim is to enable the visiting students to work on topics of their interest, attend lectures, and work on research topics as agreed between the college and the parent institution. The programme is usually led by a faculty leader from the students’ parent institution who will work as academic coordinator for the visiting students and will work closely with Paro College of Education.
