Karma Nidup is a teacher and counsellor educator. He started his teaching career in March 1995 after completing BA Honours from Sherubtse College in Kanglung, Eastern Bhutan. He taught for more than three years in different schools and was transferred to Paro College of Education in August 1998. He completed his Master of Education in Educational Foundations and Diploma in University Teaching from the University of New Brunswick (UNB, Fredericton, Canada) in 2002. Since then he has actively participated in developing courses for the colleges of education at Paro and Samtse respectively. He was the Course Leader of Primary Teaching Certificate (PTC) and Zhungkhag Teaching Certificate (ZTC) from 1^st June 2002 – 30^th December, 2003 and as the Head of the Professional Studies Department (HoD) from May 2008 – December 2013.

He has conducted several career education and counselling workshops for the teachers during the summer and winter recess upon the invitation of the Ministry of Education. He was involved in writing and launching the curriculum for the Post Graduate Diploma in Contemplative Counselling Psychology (PGDCCP) for Samtse College of Education. He helped conduct retreats and have offered courses along with the Professors from Naropa University in the US. From 2004 – 2017, he has facilitated several teaching pedagogy workshops for the faculties of colleges under the auspices of the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB). He was conferred the National Certified Counselor (NCC-S) on September 28, 2017 by the Bhutan Board for Certified Counselors for meeting the standards of professional counseling. He is currently the working committee member of the Bhutan Board for Certified Counselors based in Thimphu. The Center for Credentialing & Education verifies that he is qualified to teach basic mental health skills and concepts and to teach Mental Health Facilitator (MHF) trainers, and therefore he is recognized as a Master Trainer for the Mental Health Facilitator Program on July 27, 2017 with a registry number 222 recorded at the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC USA). He has a great enthusiasm for Buddhist contemplative education and its enlightening practices.

Cheki Wangdi, bearing employee ID No. 9910088 is working in Paro College of Education as a teacher educator. He started his teaching career since October 1999. After completing his Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from NIE, Samtse in the year 2000 (currently known as Samtse college of Education), he worked as a teacher in Daga Middle Secondary School from 2001 till mid-2004.  While in Daga MSS, beside teaching students, he shouldered responsibilities such as house advisor, class teacher, and also officiated as the school Principal for six months. In July 2004, he was selected to undergo Master’s course in the University of New England, Australia. He successfully completed his master’s degree in July 2005. He joined Paro College of Education in August 2005. In the summer of 2006, he attended a short course on leadership and administration in the University of STFX, Nova Scotia, Canada.  As a lecturer, he has reviewed, written as well as examined and taught undergraduate and post graduate courses/students. He also took up the leadership role as the HOD for the Arts and Humanities Department from 2006 till 2008. He has been offering the course on Leadership and Administration to the school principals since 2006. He also worked as the Collaborative House Advisor in Paro College of Education from 2007-2009. Currently, he is a member of M.Ed. program committee.

Tshering Lhaden completed her class 10 BCSE school from the Yangchenphug Higher Secondary School in 2002. She joined as a Library Assistant at Paro College of Education in 2003. She has gained experience in library management and has received training in the field.

Dechen Tshomo, an assistant professor has a strong grounding in Public History and Heritage with immense passion in local history. BA English Honours as her background has made it easy for her to venture into different academic areas and added to her strengths. Proficient in Multi-grade teaching has equipped undergraduate students with various and up to date strategies to create conducive learning environment; align National Curriculum for multi-grade teaching and to bring out effective teaching and learning through hands on practice sessions. Her passion for early years provision has motivated her to learn and has developed modules: Learning Environment and Leadership and Management in ECCD for Diploma in ECCD program.

Ms. Dechen Tshomo has also involved in various leadership roles: had served as vice-principal and officiating principal in schools; officiating Dean; Student Service Coordinator; Program Leader for Diploma in ECCD and Diploma in Physical Education and Sports Coaching. Currently she is looking after Research and professional Development at Rinpung ECCD Centre.

Ms. Dechen Tshomo made immense contribution as a writer in developing the first ever Bhutan Civics text books for schools in the country. She still continues to contribute in improving the Bhutan Civics text books by participating in workshops conducted by Royal Education Council.

Pema Latsho completed a Bachelors Degree in Education from Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) in 2006. At present Pema is an Associate Lecturer at Paro College of Education under the Royal University of Bhutan. She was recruited as a Teacher II by the Ministry of Education in January 2007. As a school teacher, Pema worked with students of primary classes at two different schools in Bhutan. Apart from serving the regular duty of a teacher, Pema was actively involved in social works dedicated for improving the livelihood of family members of the students and the local community.

In 2010, at Ramchetsekha School, Paro, Pema initiated a project to build an entire house for one of family members of community. Her inclination for social works made Pema to commit to study Masters in Counselling in Australia from 2010 to 2012. Upon returning to Bhutan, Pema continued her assignment with Ministry of Education until the mid 2014, after which she joined Paro College of Education. The management of PCE formally approached the Ministry of Education to arrange the transfer of Pema as an Assistant Lecturer in the department of counselling. At Paro College of Education, Pema is teaching modules related with counselling and psychology for undergrad and postgrad students. Pema is also founding members of Rimpung Experiment, a monthly seminar dedicated for generating new ideas, networking and addressing emerging issues.

Pema’s professional moral is guided by the humanistic approach of innate goodness of every human being, and she derives her daily inspiration from the teachings of Lord Buddha. At the moment, Pema is helping five to six family members improve their livelihood through support in form of resources, guidance and information.

Meet the current FIFA International Football Referee who has started as a referee as his part time job in 2011. Pema Tshewang is a College sports coordinator at Paro College of Education  and recently he is appointed as a Bhutan University Sports Federation Coordinator (BUSF) head office at Paro College of Education, where he led to organize the BUSF Winter and Summer Games for the University Students in the different colleges under Royal university of Bhutan. In 2014 he was appointed by the Federation International Football Association as the FIFA International Referee. Since than he has officiated numbers of International matches under the guidance of the Bhutan Football Federation (BFF) and FIFA. Recently he has got an opportunity to officiate the 13^th South Asia Games which was held at Kathmandu, Nepal.

After graduating with Diploma in Physical Education and Sports Coaching from Paro College of Education in 2017, inspired to make difference in training of the player with the better knowledge of the games, since than he was giving training to the students and organizing games to the students. He as a sports coordinator of the college he always make sure that every evening there is a games for the students to relax and enjoy the games after stressful study. Before joining to the post as a University Coordinator, he was fully engaged himself in organizing the college sports activity. Now he work and look after the College sports activity as well as in organizing the Bhutan University sports during winter and summer games.

Ugyen Bidha, Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering is a young passionate engineer who aspires to build structures which will be beneficial for both the young and old, structures which will help the country in its pursuit of sustainable development. She was also a part of AFCONS INFRASTRUCTURE LIMITED which is currently undergoing Phuentsholing Township Development Project as an assistant quantity surveyor (01.04.2019 to 05.10.2019) .She was deemed as sincere, hardworking employee and capable of discharging her duties meticulously. She is currently working in Royal University of Bhutan under Paro College of Education as a Site Supervising Engineer for the Construction of Laboratory (Sports laboratory with fitness center constructed for sports education).
