Kinley Yangden is a Library Assistant in Paro College of Education. She completed her ICSE from Damphu Higher Secondary School. She was appointed as Lab Assistant in October 2006. In July 2011 she was transferred from Lab to Library till date. Under the Library Department she had trainings on Library management and has experiences in managing the library. ![]()

Sonam Deki is a Senior Librarian at Paro College of Education. She secured AusAID Scholarship to study Librarianship at Charles Darwin University, Darwin, Australia from 2005 to 2007. After the completion of her studies, she started working as Assistant Librarian at the Institute of Language and Culture Studies, Royal University of Bhutan (RUB). Between December 2015 and December 2019 she worked as Adjunct Tutor for Diploma of Library and Information Management (DLIM) at Samtse College of Education, RUB. She was also involved in writing Self-Instructional Materials for DLIM programme. Currently, she is involved in writing library policies for the RUB. ![]()

Kuenzang Wangmo completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and History from Sherubtse in 2015. After the completion of her BCSE she was appointed as a Library Assistant in 2000. She underwent trainings on Library Management and has experience in running and managing the library. In August 2017, Kuenzang had a lateral transfer from Library Department to Administrative sections. Currently, she is serving as a Personal Assistant to President at Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan.

Dechen Tshomo, Assistant Lecturer of Paro College of Education has graduated from Lovely Professional University (India) with Bachelors of Degree in Performing Arts in the year 2015. She is one of the recipient of scholarship under Royal Government of Bhutan and an earmarked candidate of Royal University of Bhutan. She has joined Paro College on 21th August, 2017 after sitting for Interview and presently she works at Paro College of Education under B.Ed. primary program. Miss Dechen Tshomo had also attended short course training for Post Graduate Certificates for Higher Education (PgCHE) from Samtse College in 2018. So far, she have taught module such as Creative Arts for Upper Primary (EDN 312), Creative Arts for Lower Primary (EDN 104), Visual Information Communication (VIC 104), Academic skills (ACS 101) to regular students and she have also taught (DE) Distance Education candidates for a semester. She is also a club coordinator for Cultural Club and looks after the activity related to club besides classroom teaching. ![]()

Ngawang Phuntsho is currently working as the Dean of Student Affairs at Paro College of Education. He teaches Creative arts, Project approach and visual communication. He has M.Ed in Visual arts education. He runs ART club in the college and supports management in designing and developing spiritual ambience.
He joined as a teacher, under the ministry of Education in 1995 and taught History and Geography. He did work Institute of Zorig Chusum as teacher for 8 years and 6 months in People’s Project in Bronze casting unit at Thimphu, under HM’s Secretariat.
He helped people in designing and constructing Chortens, thus so far he has constructed more than 25 chortens all over Bhutan. He helped in designing and developing school logos. He painted Big Thankas (Thongdrols) and contributed to Drak Karpo in Paro and 2 other places under Trashi Yangtse Dzongkhag. ![]()

Phuntsho Dolma, PhD, is currently a teacher educator, mainly in educating student teachers mathematically. She has been always leading in educating student teachers with her full dedication and had been the first ever educator completing both masters and PhD in mathematics education in the history of Bhutanese education system. She started to teach in June 1989. Since then she has written and assessed courses, taught higher secondary school students, undergraduate and postgraduate students, trained school teachers, and supervised undergraduate and masters theses. In 2009, she was appointed by the Royal Civil Service Commission as the Dean of Student Affairs, first of the kind in the history of Paro College of Education.
Between 1989 and 1994 she was school mathematics teacher (one of the first female mathematics teachers in the history of Bhutanese education system) and Assistant Principal (appointed by the Royal Civil Service Commission in 1992) at Mongar Secondary School.
Beside her normal teaching job as mathematics teacher, she was heavily involved in multi-task forces such as librarian, hostel provost, homescience coordinator and assisting the school principal. Her noble contribution to the school could reach to the higher authorities (including His Majesty and Her Majesties) and as a reward, she received a scholarship to complete Advanced Diploma in Mathematics Education from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom (1993-1994).
Further, her contribution as a homescience coordinator and hostel provost to the school was mentioned in National Education Policy (Early 1990s) as a role model to the rest of the schools and teachers in terms of guiding students towards being self-sufficient citizen of the nation.
Beside her numerous duties in Mongar High School, she has also served as cashier to National Women Association of Bhutan under Mongar Dzongkhag and could contribute her service in sponsoring several batches of orphan children to schools (PP – X). She is living to see those orphan children doing well in their life and serving the country with outmost dedication.
In July 1994, upon completion of her Advance Diploma in Mathematics Education from the university of Leeds, UK, she was hand picked and transferred to Teacher Training College as lecturer in mathematics (the first ever mathematics lecturer in the history). In her teaching and leadership (Dean of Student Affairs) roles, she has contributed and nurtured the development of several teaching and learning courses and manuals, mainly related to educating students mathematically that emphasize rigor, relevance and real-world competencies through teacher education. She is currently the Chair of Primary Board of Evaluation (PBE), PCE’s B.Ed. Programme and a member of Bachelor of Education Programme (Primary). ![]()

Lhaden is a Lecturer in Science Education. She started her career as a teacher educator in 2008. As a teacher educator, she has been working tirelessly to provide a supportive learning environment by understanding the learners and thus design programs and activities to cater to individual learning needs.
Lhaden specializes in teaching Primary Science, teaching Skills and strategies together with Project-based learning. She also teaches child development and educational psychology. She has trained teachers for Bachelors of education, Post graduate Diploma in Education and Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Development. In her position, teaching and supervision, she has developed and reviewed various programs for Bachelors of Primary and Secondary Education. She also has written chapters for education textbooks for Bhutan. She is committed to the provision of high quality teacher education through strong policy, excellent programming and exemplary practices.
Her research interest includes STEM education, early childhood education and project based learning.

Dechen Wangmo, is a Lecturer in the English department. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Sherubtse College. Her teaching career began in 2003 from Drugyal Higher Secondary school. She earned a Master’s degree in Education from Edith Cowan University in Western Australia in 2007. In 2009, she joined the Paro College of Education and since then she has been teaching the pre service as well in service students. Apart from teaching, she was also involved in the writing of primary as well as secondary modules. Her expertise lies in the teaching of English modules and teaching skills. In the last eighteen years, she has the experience of teaching students who possess a wide range of capabilities She focuses her time and energy towards mentoring students, and collaborating with colleagues in organizing effective sessions. ![]()
