Pelden Dorji Dadil Jamtsho is a Project Officer at Paro College of Education for European Union Co-funded project under Erasmus+ Scheme, the project titled “Enhancing Mental Health, Counseling and Wellbeing Support for University Students in Bhutan”. The project is first of its kind in Royal University of Bhutan with an objective to establish ‘Happiness and Wellbeing Center’ across nine RUB colleges for the wellbeing being of students.  He graduated from College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan with Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Development concentration in Research and Statistics, 2017. As a whole some Education he’s area of interest are on sports, music, cultural activities, designing, Photography, ICT, social services, arts, literary activates during school and college days. He holds the internship experience at Ministry of Labor and Human Resources, Department of Employment, Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment Division from December 2016 – February 2017. During the internship he did survey analysis of Entrepreneurs who did training from MoLHR. Currently, he is also officiating as Research Officer supporting Dean of Research and Industrial Linkages, Editor for the Rabsel Volume 20, Issue – 1 Spring 2019 & Issue – 2 Autumn 2019, JEAR Vol. 1 Number 3 November 2018 Publication, 2019. At Paro College of Education he actively takes part in the protocol duties of official guest.

Mr. Kunzang Thinley is currently working as a Senior Accountant at Paro College of Education since 2007. He has Diploma in accounts and audit from Royal Institute of Management completed in 1995.

Karma Yeshey is the Dean of Academic Affairs at Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan, since March 2021. He mainly teaches mathematics and mathematics education courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He brings a considerable amount of relevant experience and expertise to the job he does at the College, having been a mathematics teacher (1999-2002), a mathematics curriculum coordinator, curriculum officer and curriculum developer with the Ministry of Education (2003-2016), a private consultant (2016-2020), and an adjunct lecturer at Samtse College of Education (Spring 2018).

He played a leading role in reforming school mathematics curriculum in Bhutan, from its inception in 2003 through a decade-long intensive engagement with the reform process, which saw the implementation of a new, and on par with international standards, mathematics curriculum across all grades levels of PP-12 by 2013.  He believes that an excellent mathematics curriculum will naturally drive good teaching and good assessment practices to a good extent.  It also positively influences teacher preparation. Ultimately, it will create mathematical success for all the students.  He puts a claim that some of these are already visibly experienced, albeit incrementally. Such being the case, he is happy to continue to serve, now as a teacher educator, for the cause of mathematics in the country.

In addition he wrote three modules for this programme, which he also teaches at the College.

Ms. Yoesel Sangay Choden, is an assistant lecturer at the Paro college of Education. She joined the college in March, 2021 and is currently working under the Department of Early Childhood Care and Development. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Honours) with a major in Early Childhood Education and minor in Special Education Needs from SEGi University, Malaysia in September, 2019, as a undergraduate scholarship recipient of the Royal Government of Bhutan.

Ms. Sonam Lhazeen joined the Paro College of Education in March of 2021 as an Assistant Lecturer. She has Bachelors in Education (Hons) from SEGi University, Malaysia with a major in Early Childhood Care and Development and minor in Special Needs Education. Upon completion of her studies in 2018, she entered a primary school in Thimphu for a year and then interned as a content writer in Bhutan Football Federation promoting Women football.

In 2021 she joined PCE at a time when the college was expanding outreach services to the monastic institutions. In the span of two months, she has been an active member of the Sangchen Choekor English Teaching Program, teaching English to the monks in the monastery, a committee member of the newly established Nangkar Choeling Learning Centre and a member of the Rinpung Center located in PCE.

Mr. Jurme Thinley is a Lecturer and the Programme Leader for B. Ed Primary Programme (Existing & Distance) and looks after the programme since July 2019. He joined this college as an Assistant Lecturer II on January 1, 2010 and has been teaching in the college for more than 11 years. He did Post-graduate Diploma in Education (PgDE) from Samtse College of Education (RUB) in 2009.

He has master degree in Philosophy of History (Social Sciences, 2011-2013) from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, India, and bachelor degree in Social Sciences from DAV College (Chandigarh) under Punjab University. Currently, he teaches M. Ed in Primary Social Studies modules to post-grades (In-service teacher candidates) and B. Ed Primary modules to under-grade students.

Deki C Gyamtso, PhD, is a teacher educator. She started her career as a lecturer in Geography in Samtse College of Education and has since then had the privilege to hold key positions such as B.Ed Secondary and Primary Programme Leader; Distance Teacher Education Programme (DTEP) Coordinator; Coordinator of the Centre for University Learning and Teaching (CULT); Assistant Principal (Academic Affairs) and the Dean of Academic Affairs in the College. During her tenure she contributed immensely to the overall academic development of Samtse College of Education.

In 2014 to broaden her horizons, she went on secondment for a period of two years to The Royal Academy, Paro. From 2016 – 2019 she worked in the Office of the Vice Chancellor, RUB in various capacities as Managing Editor of the Bhutan Journal of Research and Development (BJRD), Higher Education Specialist, Researcher, Facilitator and short – course designer.  In 2020 she came back to her initial passion teaching in Paro College of Education.

In her teaching and leadership roles she come across great opportunities, and achieved considerable responsibilities. She wrote and evaluated several courses, taught undergraduate and postgraduate students, trained school teachers and University academics.
