Eminent members of the National Council of Bhutan, visited PCE
Eminent members of the National Council of Bhutan, visited Paro College of Education to conduct a consultation on the amendment of the ‘Marriage Act of Bhutan.’ The session continued with actively seeking feedbacks, suggestions and perspectives. As the bill is currently undergoing the legislative review process and has not yet been enacted into law, the session served as a platform to gauge youth opinions on vital provisions such as the legal marriageable age, adjusting child maintenance allowances, and refining marital separation clauses. The interactive session allowed students to contribute insights on how these proposed statutory changes could impact modern Bhutanese society.
