PCE is well informed on health-related issues

The ‘Health Talk’ was organized from 2nd to 5th October, 2017, in Paro College of Education. Pertinent issues such as sexually transmitted diseases (STI\STD), Adolescent and Unplanned pregnancy, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex (LGBTQI), Depression and Drug were discussed.

Dr. Yowaan Thapa said, “The entire health talk advocacy becomes the immediate factor to create and promote awareness about different situations which can lead to diseases and to inform the public about the facilities that are available to combat diseases.” According to him, the main purpose of conducting the programme was to advocate on various diseases that would spread if it was not prevented at the grassroots. He mentioned that as the trainees would be soon placed into schools, they would play a significant role in the community in informing health related issues and to impart their ideas.
