Mr. Samten Tharchen’s Profile

Samten Tharchen is an Assistant Professor at Paro College of Education. He has an MA in Dzongkha Language and Buddhist Philosophy from Tango Buddhist College. He received PGCE in Teaching Dzongkha from Samtse College of Education in 2003. He teaches Dzongkha language, Literature, Teaching Skill, Teaching methodology, Action Research and Research methodology courses at undergraduate and graduate programmes since 1999.  He has been the external examiner for BLL programme at Taktse College of Language and Culture Studies from 2016 to 2018, and he is presently the member of Programmes and Quality Committee (PQC), Royal University of Bhutan.

He teaches Action Research and Research methodology and supervise graduate research dissertation of M.Ed students in Dzongkha programme. Samten has also published several research articles in educational and cultural journals.
