Mr. Karma Jurme is a Lecturer and intermediate researcher based in Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan.
His research background is in Early Childhood Education and also led a team of researcher in Tracer Study of B. Ed graduates of Samtse College of Education. Karma was also a member of research committee for Samtse College of Education, from 2010 to 2014. Karma holds M. Ed (Early Childhood Studies), B. Ed Primary and Certificate in ‘Play and Creativity’ and ‘School Readiness’.

A Tracer Study on the First Batch of B.Ed (four year programme) Graduates of Samtse College of Education, Samtse. There was no grants as such, it was a college activity led by him. Published in Bhutan Journal of Research & Development (Bjrd)
Early Childhood Development and Educational Practices in Samtse Dzongkhag, Bhutan. For this study, there was no grant as such, it was conducted purely out of his interest. The paper is published in RABSEL the CERD Educational Journal.
Presented a paper on ‘Improving Access and quality: Teacher preparedness in MgT matters’ during the National Seminar on Multi-grade Teaching jointly organised by DCRD, MoE and Paro College of Education, RUB, 2013.
Currently, he is engaged in a research project titled: ‘Children’s Art: A Gate way to their Development’ and aims to present the report during the forthcoming international seminar on Early Childhood Education which will be held here in Paro College of Education in 2017.
