Answering the Call to Teach<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>

During my interview, I was asked a simple question: \u201cWhy do you want to be a teacher?\u201d<\/em> Without hesitation, I talked about the \u2018loop of learning\u2019<\/strong> on how being a teacher means you’re always learning, not just teaching. This class and this thing!<\/em>\u201d I clearly remember saying that as I placed the colourful stringed Dramgyoen<\/em> (traditional Bhutanese lute) down in frustration, completely drained after yet another struggle to get the notes right. I must have repeated that phrase a dozen times or maybe more. At the time, nothing about learning music felt exciting. If anything, it felt like a burden I didn\u2019t sign up for.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

My First Day at a Teacher Training College<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>

I heard from my seniors that college life is full of enjoyment and unforgettable memories. But for me it is a little different. I am just an ordinary college girl on a quest for knowledge and not just for a degree certificate. I came here to discipline myself with values and to be precise, a responsible contributing person and a change driver in the Education system.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A cold gentle breeze touched my cheeks as I stepped out of the taxi in Paro, the serene valley of\u00a0rice. It was the month of July 2023, and I had come all the way from Chhukha, carrying dreams\u00a0and quiet excitement for what lay ahead.
