{"id":6101,"date":"2022-03-23T15:33:13","date_gmt":"2022-03-23T09:33:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pce.edu.bt\/?page_id=6101"},"modified":"2022-05-03T09:52:11","modified_gmt":"2022-05-03T03:52:11","slug":"library-3","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.pce.edu.bt\/?page_id=6101","title":{"rendered":"Library"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">PCE Library\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Paro College Library System is powered by KOHA which is a full-featured open-source ILS.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>Membership<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">All students, academic and administrative staff of the College are members of the library.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Teacher trainees are kindly requested to show their student ID while using library services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>Borrowing Access and Loan Periods<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">The library collections are available to all individuals for use.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">All faculty, staff and students are eligible for privileges to borrow from PCE library.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">5 items per student for\u00a0<em>2 weeks.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">10 items per lecturers &amp; 5 items per staff for two &amp; one month respectively.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">5 items per DE students and 10 items per M.Ed students for 2 weeks respectively.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">A user cannot take any library item in the name of others.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Same book will not be loaned out in one person.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Some items which are high in demand are categorized as Short-Terms Loans &amp; are therefore, loaned out for 3 days.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>Overdue Material<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Students (DE &amp; M.Ed as well) will be charged Nu.5 per day for overdue materials.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Lecturers\/staff will be charged Nu.10 per day for overdue materials.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Borrowing privileges will be suspended if regular circulating materials are kept for\u00a0<em>30<\/em>\u00a0days or more beyond their due date, or if a recalled item is\u00a0<em>five<\/em>\u00a0days overdue and if there is a\u00a0<em>fine<\/em>\u00a0of more than\u00a0<em>Nu.100<\/em>. . Privileges will be restored only after the items have been returned.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>Lost or Damaged Items<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Any person who shall willfully, maliciously, deface, tear, write upon, ruin, or injure any library materials or facilities may be subjected to loss of library privileges and appropriate administrative action.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Lost library items must be reported immediately.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Replace the book or pay the purchased price plus a processing fee of Nu.50.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>Holds &amp; Recalls<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">All borrowers are guaranteed the use of library books depending on the loan periods assigned unless a rush recall is placed to put the book on reserve.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">If an item is loaned out, library staff will put a recall on the item and must be submitted on the new due date. The patrons will receive a recall notice.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Borrowing privileges will be suspended if a recalled item is not returned by the new recall due date and fines will be levied accordingly.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">An item can be placed on\u00a0<strong>hold<\/strong>\u00a0by consulting the library staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>Returns &amp; Renewals<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Materials checked out must be returned to the library staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Library items can be renewed online.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Renewal polices vary depending on the type of material and users.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\"><b>LIBRARY HOURS<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>Monday to Friday : 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM<\/ul>\n<ul>Saturday to Sunday : 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM<\/ul>\n<ul>Government Holidays : Closed<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; PCE Library\u00a0 Paro College Library System is powered by KOHA which is a full-featured open-source ILS. &nbsp; Membership All students, academic and administrative staff of the College are members of the library.
