She\u00a0 has\u00a0 been\u00a0 always\u00a0 leading\u00a0 in\u00a0 educating\u00a0 student\u00a0 teachers\u00a0 with\u00a0 her\u00a0 full\u00a0dedication and had been the first\u00a0 ever\u00a0 educator\u00a0 completing both masters\u00a0 and PhD\u00a0 in\u00a0mathematics\u00a0 education\u00a0 in\u00a0 the\u00a0 history\u00a0 of\u00a0 Bhutanese\u00a0 education\u00a0 system.\u00a0 She\u00a0 started\u00a0 to\u00a0 teach\u00a0 in\u00a0June 1989. Since then she has written and assessed courses, taught higher secondary school\u00a0students,\u00a0 undergraduate and postgraduate students, trained\u00a0 school\u00a0 teachers, and supervised\u00a0undergraduate\u00a0 and masters\u00a0 theses.\u00a0 In\u00a0 2009, she\u00a0 was\u00a0 appointed\u00a0 by\u00a0 the\u00a0 Royal\u00a0 Civil\u00a0 Service\u00a0Commission\u00a0 as\u00a0 the\u00a0 Dean\u00a0 of\u00a0 Student\u00a0 Affairs,\u00a0 first\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 kind\u00a0 in\u00a0 the\u00a0 history\u00a0 of\u00a0 Paro\u00a0 College\u00a0 of\u00a0Education.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Between\u00a0 1989\u00a0 and\u00a0 1994\u00a0 she\u00a0 was\u00a0 school\u00a0 mathematics\u00a0 teacher\u00a0 (one\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 first\u00a0 female\u00a0mathematics\u00a0 teachers\u00a0 in\u00a0 the\u00a0 history\u00a0 of\u00a0 Bhutanese\u00a0 education\u00a0 system)\u00a0 and Assistant\u00a0 Principal\u00a0(appointed\u00a0 by\u00a0 the\u00a0 Royal\u00a0 Civil\u00a0 Service\u00a0 Commission\u00a0 in\u00a0 1992) at\u00a0 Mongar Secondary\u00a0 School.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Beside her normal teaching job as mathematics teacher, she was heavily involved in multi-task\u00a0forces\u00a0 such\u00a0 as\u00a0 librarian, hostel\u00a0 provost, homescience coordinator\u00a0 and assisting the school\u00a0principal. Her noble contribution to the school could reach to the higher authorities (including His\u00a0Majesty and Her Majesties) and as a reward, she received a scholarship to complete Advanced\u00a0Diploma in Mathematics Education from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom (1993-1994).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Further,\u00a0 her\u00a0 contribution\u00a0 as\u00a0 a\u00a0 homescience\u00a0 coordinator\u00a0 and\u00a0 hostel\u00a0 provost\u00a0 to\u00a0 the\u00a0 school\u00a0 was\u00a0mentioned in National Education Policy (Early 1990s) as a role model to the rest of the schools\u00a0and teachers in terms of guiding students towards being self-sufficient citizen of the nation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Beside her numerous duties in Mongar High School, she has also served as cashier to National\u00a0Women\u00a0 Association\u00a0 of\u00a0 Bhutan\u00a0 under\u00a0 Mongar\u00a0 Dzongkhag\u00a0 and could contribute\u00a0 her\u00a0 service\u00a0 in\u00a0sponsoring several batches of orphan children to schools (PP \u2013 X). She is living to see those\u00a0orphan children doing well in their life and serving the country with outmost dedication.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">In\u00a0 July\u00a0 1994, upon\u00a0 completion\u00a0 of her\u00a0 Advance\u00a0 Diploma\u00a0 in\u00a0 Mathematics\u00a0 Education\u00a0 from\u00a0 the\u00a0university of Leeds, UK, she was hand picked and transferred to Teacher Training College as\u00a0lecturer in mathematics (the first ever mathematics lecturer in the history). In her teaching and\u00a0leadership (Dean of Student Affairs) roles, she has contributed and nurtured the development of\u00a0several\u00a0 teaching\u00a0 and\u00a0 learning\u00a0 courses\u00a0 and manuals,\u00a0 mainly\u00a0 related\u00a0 to\u00a0 educating\u00a0 students\u00a0mathematically\u00a0 that emphasize\u00a0 rigor,\u00a0 relevance\u00a0 and\u00a0 real-world\u00a0 competencies\u00a0 through\u00a0 teacher\u00a0education.
