M. Ed in Educational Leadership & Management
The part-time master of education in Educational Leadership and Management programme offered at the Paro College of Education was instituted as a joint venture with St. Francis Xavier University of Canada in January 2003. However, the Paro College of Education has taken over this programme since January 2006. The M.Ed programme aims to enhance the leadership capacity of the educational leaders and school administrators by offering them courses during the winter residential school.
Student enrolled into this programme will have to undergo an intensive course for six weeks each for three years during winter. During these residential schools, students are required to read intensively and write exercises which would help them to enhance their professional growth. They will be also exposed to research skills to enable them to complete a research project under the supervision of a supervisor and co-supervisor. In effect, this programme will immensely enhance the leadership qualities of the educational leaders which are crucial for the enhancement of quality of education in the country.

- Possess a minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree.
- Be a practicing manager with at least one year of management experience (Principals and Vice Principals of school or Dzongkhag Education Officers).
- All shortlisted students must appear for the English Language Proficiency Test conducted by the college and the final selection will be based on merit ranking.
