Announcement (Availability Of Slots For Full-Time Masters Programmes)

Paro College of Education is pleased to announce the availability of slots for the February 2025 in-take for various Masters programmes on self-financed mode.

Interested applicants, fulfilling the admission criteria listed below, should apply online latest by 25th January 2025, through the link provided [here].

Eligibility Criteria and selection procedure

Candidates wishing to apply to the above programmes should:

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree (BEd/BA/BSc) from a recognised university/institution
  2. Have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the primary level. (This condition, however, does not apply for the MEd in Inclusive Education programme).
  3. Have scored a minimum of 50% in English Language Proficiency Test, to be administered by the college comprising of a written test and oral interview. There will also be a viva voce for the applicants securing 50% in the English language proficiency test. The aim of the test will be to assess the candidate’s analytical ability and language proficiency so that the candidate can cope with the programmes demands on language and higher order thinking. The viva voce, to be an interactive session of about 20 minutes, will test the candidate’s aptitude and general proficiency in the subject.

 

Other important information

  1. The duration for each programme is two years full-time.
  2. The classes will begin on 10th February 2025.
  3. The tuition fee will be about Nu. 117,000.00 (approx.) per annum.
  4. Students should arrange their own accommodation.
  5. The prospective candidates will be contacted for the selection and confirmation of their seat during the first week of February 2025.
