ANNOUNCEMENT

(Inviting applications for the Bachelor of Education programmes for July 2024 intake)

 

Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan, is pleased to invite applications from class 12 graduates of 2023 for the Bachelor of Education programmes for the July 2024 intake. Interested and eligible candidates should take into account all of the following conditions.

 

  1. This invitation is ONLY for the interested and eligible Class XII graduates who appeared for their BHSEC examination in December 2023. Those who applied earlier, meant for and along with the class XII graduates of the earlier years should apply again this time.

 

  1. The applications from class 12 graduates of earlier years (those who appeared for their BHSEC examinations in 2022 or before) have already been received and are being verified. The results of their shortlisting will be announced at the end of March 2024. Those students should NOT apply again this time.

 

  1. Prospective candidates should study the eligibility criteria and selection process carefully before applying.

  1. It is the responsibility of the applicants to ensure that their Class X index number and Class XII index number are entered correctly. Any mismatch in them will lead to the rejection of their application. While the college will exercise due diligence in verifying and compiling the data, it will not be held responsible for the rejection of applications due to such mismatches.

 

  1. The applicants should provide their other details, such as CID number, mobile number, and email address correctly.

 

  1. The prospective candidates who are genuinely interested in becoming a primary school teacher should apply for the programmes. Those who intend to withdraw or drop out after being selected should not apply as such action will later deprive others genuinely interested of the opportunity.

 

  1. The approved number of slots for the BEd Primary programme is 100 and the same for the BEd Dzongkha Primary programme is 70. All the selected candidates will be funded by the Royal Government of Bhutan under the Higher Education Grant. There is no provision for self-financed candidates for these programmes.
