The Seminar will be held in Paro College of Education, Royal
University of Bhutan, in the beautiful valley of Paro in western
Bhutan, about 2,250 metres above sea level. The College offers
education programs at the diploma, undergraduate and
postgraduate levels. Paro is a small town with a population of
about 39,000 people and is located 5 minutes drive from the
Paro International Airport. The capital city Thimphu is about 1
hour's drive from Paro. Paro is about 4 hours flight from
Bangkok, Thailand and about 3 hours from Delhi, India.
ISfTE members will also have the opportunity to visit the
National Museum (which is about 15 minutes drive from the venue)
and also take a 2 hours hike to Taktshang (popularly known as
the Tiger’s Nest). These are favourite historical spots for
hundreds of tourists from around the world who visit Bhutan
every year. The capital city of Thimphu offers equally
attractive spots like the Heritage Museum, Textile Museum, Dzong
(fortress), Takin Zoo and many others.
